When someone is in hospice care, small things matter more. A fresh haircut or a clean shave can help a person feel like themselves again — before a visit from the grandkids, a family photo, a birthday, or simply for a good day.
Dandies Mobile brings a CA-licensed barber to the bedside: at home, in a hospice house, a board-and-care home, assisted living, memory care or a hospital room. Our barbers work around the bed, recliner or wheelchair, keep the visit calm and quiet, and go at the patient's pace. If they get tired, we can keep it short or pause.
Hospice hair care from our barbers includes a haircut or simple tidy-up, a gentle clipper or straight-razor shave depending on skin and comfort, beard and mustache grooming, neckline and ear clean-up, and a warm-towel finish. We bring capes, neck strips and clean-up supplies, and leave the room the way we found it.
Most requests come from a son, daughter, spouse or caregiver. You can book on their behalf and tell us what matters: a favorite style, sensitive areas, the best time of day, and who to contact at the facility. For hospice houses and care facilities, please check with the care team first — we're glad to coordinate timing with nurses and staff.
We need at least 24 hours' notice. If timing is important, say so in your request and we'll look for the earliest available barber.

Do you offer haircuts for hospice patients at home?
Yes. A CA-licensed Dandies barber comes to the home and cuts at the bedside, in a recliner or in a wheelchair — whatever is most comfortable.
Can a barber cut hair for someone who is bedridden?
Yes. Our barbers regularly cut for clients sitting up in bed or reclined. They adjust to the person's position and comfort, and can keep the visit short if needed.
Do you visit hospice houses, care homes and hospitals?
Yes. Please get approval from the facility or care team first, and add a contact name in your request. We're happy to coordinate timing with staff.
How much does a haircut for a hospice patient cost?
$175 for the first guest's first service. Add-ons such as a shave or beard grooming start at $50. A travel fee may apply depending on distance, and your total is confirmed before your card is authorized.
Can I book a haircut for my parent in hospice?
Yes. Most hospice requests come from family members or caregivers. Submit the request with the patient's address and any notes about style, sensitive areas or timing.
Do you cut hair for veterans in hospice?
Yes. Many families ask for a clean, classic cut or a military-style trim. Just tell us the style in your request.
